I can’t tell you how many times I have come up with an idea went through with it and failed. This is what everyone fails to realize including me is that you are going to fail and fail A LOT. I know that people reading this post do not want to hear that but it is very true. There were many times I had a great idea started it up and failed. I have tried to run my own online clothing store, make and design jewelry, and last but not least start a blog. When we try and try again after failing every time, I know that it can be discouraging but you have to be relentless.
Get up and dust yourself off and try again. Or if you have become in a constant state of sadness or anger from failing, take a break. I don’t think everyone knows that it is okay to step back, take a breather, and rejuvenate. For starters let your mind heal, it’s okay to quit as long as you don’t give up and always come back to it. Also, you are able to learn plenty from failing so really think about it as a learning lesson that you will have to apply to other life or business opportunities.
For example, I recently graduated from grad school with my MBA and I should be happy right because anyone will hire me on, even if I know nothing. Well, that is not the case at all, I have been rejected so many times, barely receiving interviews, and beating myself up for “not doing good” on interviews. I’ve decided to take a little break but I will not give up. Also, I like to think that this may not be what God has in store for me right now, or maybe that I am not ready, or even that he is still preparing my blessing. We think we want something but sometimes God says “Nope, we need something bigger”. When I think about this and ask God to bless me with what I want, it is always bigger than I could have ever imagined.
Everything happens for a reason nothing happens out of coincidence. In a pep talk that I saw with Oprah, she explained how our generation thinks that we put in a little bit of work looking for a big payoff, no we have to put in A Lot of work until it pays off. We see famous celebrities, entrepreneurs, and influencers but we rarely see all of the work that they have put in to get to this point in their lives. Will Smith once expressed how he failed so many times but that one time he succeeded that is where his big payoff began. Similar to an iceberg, it is beautiful peaking at the top of the water but there is so much depth beneath that we don’t see. I feel that is very similar to success. This is what helps me when I get stuck or in a rut.

You have to think positive nowadays because with all that’s going on in the world it’s so easy to get caught up in feeling down, being depressed, and negative thinking. You know what they say think positive thoughts, you attract what you think and believe so think positively. Dreams are real and all you have to do is just believe and put in the hard work.
